''Speech'' was the fourth (and final) album of the British blues-rock band Steamhammer. In 1971, bassist Steve Davy left the band, and Louis Cennamo was recruited as his replacement - then vocalist Kieran White also left the band after a summer tour. Guitarist Martin Pugh, drummer Mick Bradley and Cennamo (with guest vocalist Garth Watt-Roy, of Fuzzy Duck) then went in the studio to record "Speech", which was released in 1972. It consisted of three lengthy (and mostly instrumental) songs in a heavier progressive-rock vein, that was somewhat different from their initial blues and folk/jazz-influenced albums.〔http://www.last.fm/group/Classic+Rock/forum/14969/_/619517〕 Bradley died from leukemia shortly before the album's mixing was completed (the album is dedicated to him on the inside album cover), and the band dissolved the following year; making ''Speech'' their final album.〔http://mnbvcxzl.tripod.com/index2.html〕 After Steamhammer wound down, Pugh and Cennamo joined up with former Yardbirds vocalist Keith Relf (who had provided production assistance on "Speech", as well as contributing background vocals〔http://www.keithrelf.com/index1.html〕) and drummer Bobby Caldwell, formerly of Johnny Winter's band and Captain Beyond, to form Armageddon.〔http://www.nlightsweb.com/lib/reviews/cennamo.htm〕 == Track listing == Side 1: # Penumbra (22:42) (Pugh/Cennamo/Bradley/Romilly) ## Entrance ## Battlements ## Passage To Remorse ## Sightless Substance ## Mortal Thought Side 2: # Telegram (Nature's Mischief) (12:00) (Pugh/Cennamo/Bradley/Williams) # For Against (10:58) (Pugh/Cennamo/Bradley) ;Band members * Martin Pugh - guitar, vocals * Louis Cennamo - bass, vocals * Mick Bradley - drums ;Session musicians * Garth Watt-Roy - lead vocals * Keith Relf - backing vocals, production assistance * Jane Relf - backing vocals 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Speech (album)」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
